How To Activate Windows?
If you bought Windows Online Activation keys, then follow these instructions
Activate Windows using a product key
A product key is a 25-character code that looks like this:
PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
During installation, you’ll be prompted to enter a product key. Or, after installation, to enter the product key, select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Update product key > Change product key.
Most common issues

1. Open PowerShell as administrator
2. Enter the following command
slmgr -ipk <Your product key here>
3. Then enter this command
slmgr -ato
example:
slmgr -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
slmgr -ato
Note that the second command can take a minute; just be patient.
You have installed the wrong Windows version.
Situations when this error might occur:
- You are trying to activate Windows Home with a Windows Pro key.
- You have a Windows N version installed.
- You have installed Windows Enterprise, and you are trying to activate it with a standard key.
In all cases, you may change your version by reinstalling it, but there are other options you may check out below:

system should automatically change its version to pro. Then you can activate it with a pro key.
